Seahawks Superbowl Special

Our hometown team is going to the Superbowl so we threw together a few Seahawks themed recipes!

Sherman's Got Balls 1 lb. lean ground beef 1 egg 2 tbsp. half and half 1/2 cup bread crumbs 1/4 cup minced onion 1 seeded jalapeño, minced 1/2 tsp. cayenne 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes 1/2 tsp. chili powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper Good BBQ sauce Preheat oven to 350˚. In a large bowl combine egg, water, bread crumbs, onion, jalapeños, and spices. Add ground beef and mix with your hands to combine. Form into 1" meatballs and place on a broiler pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes until meatballs are no longer pink in center. Toss in a BBQ of your choice and serve with toothpicks. Whoa, that's one spicy meatball!

Beast Mode Pork Sliders 4 lbs. pork shoulder 22 oz. Seattle dark ale (with little to no hops) 1 medium onion, chopped 5 cloves garlic, minced 1 habañero pepper Mini brioche buns BBQ sauce Spice Rub 2 tbs. salt 2 tsp. garlic powder 1 tbsp. chili powder 1/2 tsp. cayenne 1 tsp. paprika 1 tsp. black pepper 1/4 tsp. coriander Slaw 1/2 head of green cabbage, shredded 1/2 head of red cabbage, shredded 1/2 carrot, jullienned 1 fuji apple, matchsticks 1-2 green onions, sliced 1/4 cup olive oil 2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar 2 tbsp. stone ground mustard Salt and Pepper, to taste Heat a dutch oven on medium-high and add 1 tbsp. vegetable oil. Rub pork shoulder with all of your spice rub and sear until browned on all sides. Remove from the heat and add your onions and thinly sliced habañero, and sauté until transluscent. Add the garlic and stir constantly until lightly browned. Add the beer and bring to a boil. Add the meat back into the pan and place in a 280˚ oven for 3 hours. You'll know it's done when the pork is falling apart. Top the brioche buns with some of the shedded pork, some slaw, and a spoonful of BBQ sauce. Once you start chomping on these, you won't be able to stop! P.S.
